This Privacy Policy explains how Practivo ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform at practivo.in and app.practivo.in.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and firm/company name when you register.
• Client data: names, email addresses, and phone numbers of the clients you add to your workspace.
• Uploaded files: documents uploaded by your clients via guest links or the client portal, stored securely and synced to your Google Drive.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform (for improving the product).
• Communication data: messages sent to us via the contact form or email.

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, and session information for security and analytics purposes.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Practivo platform
• Send document request notifications and reminders on your behalf
• Respond to support queries and communications
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
• Send service-related announcements (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time)

We do not sell your data or your clients' data to any third party.

Google Drive integration

When you connect your Google Drive, Practivo requests permission to create and write files within a designated Practivo folder in your Drive. We use Google OAuth 2.0 for this integration.

• We only write files to your Drive, we do not read any files outside the Practivo folder.
• You can revoke Drive access at any time from your Google Account settings or from within Practivo.
• Our use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data storage and security

All data is stored on servers hosted in secure cloud infrastructure. Files are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel and governed by role-based access control.

We implement industry-standard security practices including regular security reviews, vulnerability scanning, and automated backups.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Uploaded files are retained until you delete them or close your account.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@practivo.in.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are anonymised and used only to improve the product.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services: Google (Drive integration, OAuth), a cloud hosting provider for infrastructure, and a payment processor for billing. Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@practivo.in. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the application. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
